In your first language you have opinions, you're funny sometimes, you can read a room — and in English you are professional, competent, and about thirty percent of yourself. You've been calling that an English problem, but I don't think it is.
What happened is that you learned English for work, so what you got was the work version — functional, careful, good in meetings, not much use anywhere else. It keeps people at a distance without meaning to, and the strange thing is that both sides can feel it even when neither can name it. You're fluent, just not quite yourself, and after enough years that gap starts to feel permanent.

I graduated from University back in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. From there I decided I wanted to travel a bit and looked at ways in which I could do that. I came across the idea of teaching English as a second language. I decided to get a CELTA certification because I read about how prestigious is is in the ESL world.
