Hello. I am an European Portuguese teacher.
I am an experienced and certified teacher of Portuguese and English and I have been teaching in the public school system since 1995. I have also been teaching online for the last five years.
I truly believe that 'practise makes perfect', so the more you practise speaking a language, the better you'll do it! I always have a sequence of contents ready to use but I believe it is better to teach according to the student's needs and interests.
I have experience in:
- teaching beginners with no knowledge of the language,
- preparing students for the CIPLE exam (or DIPLE, DEPLE and DUPLE),
- teaching business portuguese,
- improving communication skills: speaking and listening, as well as reading and writing.

Hello! My name is Rhuana and I'm from Recife, Brazil.
I have a Languages degree (Portuguese and French) from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and I did a postgraduate course in Applied Linguistics to Portuguese Language Teaching in the FAFIRE. I also had the opportunity to study Didactics for Languages for six months in the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Paris.
Since 2011, I work as a teacher of Portuguese (as first and foreign language) and French and I’ve had experiences in schools, language courses, online lessons… So I have a large experience teaching both of them and I had the opportunity to teach students with different levels, profiles and goals. My lessons are dynamic, fun and prepared according to the student's objective and interests. Also, I believe that sociocultural aspects are extremely important in the process of learning a language, since it is, above all, social.
