About Me
Hello. I am an European Portuguese teacher.
I am an experienced and certified teacher of Portuguese and English and I have been teaching in the public school system since 1995. I have also been teaching online for the last five years.
I truly believe that 'practise makes perfect', so the more you practise speaking a language, the better you'll do it! I always have a sequence of contents ready to use but I believe it is better to teach according to the student's needs and interests.
I have experience in:
- teaching beginners with no knowledge of the language,
- preparing students for the CIPLE exam (or DIPLE, DEPLE and DUPLE),
- teaching business portuguese,
- improving communication skills: speaking and listening, as well as reading and writing.
I am available to teach classes for 2 people at the same time (families or friends) to help them practice Portuguese in a fun and interactive way. This will unblock Portuguese conversations in their daily lives and make communicating in Portuguese more natural and less intimidating.

My trial lessons
In the trial lesson, we discuss your goals and I check your needs and your favourite method.
I will ask questions to understand your Portuguese level and what you would like to learn. We may practice some reading, speaking, and listening. Part of the trial lesson will be getting to know more about each other!
