-Sono un insegnante di italiano per stranieri e un insegnante di inglese per italiani.
-Insegno da dieci anni, online e di persona.
-Insegno a studenti di qualsiasi livello, dal beginner assoluto fino allo studente con un livello di italiano molto avanzato.
-Ho esperienza con studenti di tutte le età, dai bambini, agli adolescenti fino agli adulti.
-Nel corso di questi anni, ho avuto studenti di molte nazionalità, ma principalmente studenti di madrelingua inglese quindi conosco perfettamente le difficoltà che incontrano nell’imparare italiano.
-Sono fondatrice del podcast Italiando Storie, credo molto nello storytelling come strumento di apprendimento.
-Credo anche nel metodo dell’input comprensibile. Se non sai che cos’è, trovi in descrizione un video in cui lo spiego meglio.
-Credo fermamente che il compito di un bravo insegnante sia quello di essere :
1.una guida
2.un facilitatore (rendere argomenti complessi il più semplice possibile)
3.un motivatore
4.e in parte un buon amico con cui parlare.
Non è sempre un gioco da ragazzi, ma faccio del mio meglio e lo faccio da molti anni.
Non voglio annoiarmi a lezione e non voglio fare annoiare gli studenti: nelle mie lezioni facciamo molte attività divertenti, e mettiamo in pratica la lingua attraverso giochi, roleplay e belle chiacchierate.
La maggior parte dei materiali che uso a lezione sono creati da me e mi piace utilizzare contenuti reali non solo contenuti pensati specificatamente per studenti di italiano.

I'm Silvia, an Italian teacher for students of Italian as a second language and an English teacher for Italians.
I have been teaching for ten years, online and in person.
I teach students of any level, from absolute beginners to students with a very advanced level of Italian.
I have experience with students of all ages, from children to teenagers to adults.
Over these years, I have had students of many nationalities, but mainly native English speakers so I know the difficulties you may come across in learning Italian.
I am the founder of the Italiando Storie podcast, I strongly believe in storytelling as a learning tool.

I also believe in the comprehensible input method, that is, providing the student with understandable information (even for a beginner starting from scratch) thanks to the context.
I firmly believe that the job of a good teacher is to be
-a guide
-a facilitator (make complex topics as simple as possible)
-a motivator
-and partly a good friend to talk to.
It's not always a piece of cake, but I try my best and have done so for many years.
I don't want to be bored in lessons and I don't want to make the students bored: in my lessons we do many fun activities, and we put the language into practice through games, roleplays and good chats.
Most of the materials I use in lessons are created by me and I like to use real content not just content designed specifically for students of Italian as second language.
