Hey everyone, Iām Anna! I was born and raised in Japan. Iāve been teaching Japanese for a while now and Iād be happy to help you as well.
I lived in Canada for one year and had a lot of life-changing experiences there. I was amazed by how much Japanese culture (history, language, media, etc.) is appreciated around the world. That made me quite proud to be Japanese! Now, I want to help others understand the rich culture and language of Japan. The more words you learn in Japanese, the more you will be able to enjoy your visit to Japan! It will also become easier for you to understand Japanese news, film, and television.
I will help you improve your writing, listening, and speaking and am willing to work with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Youāre welcome to talk with me about a variety of subjects: Japan, your hobbies, or anything else! I understand how stressful it can be to learn a new language, and I will work my hardest to provide an informative, engaging, yet rel...

Are you interested in the Japanese language/culture or planning to go to Japan? I am an experienced and qualified Japanese language teacher. I've been teaching the Japanese language as a second language since 2008. I studied English and am currently learning Italian, so I know exactly what the challenges (and rewards!) of learning languages areĀ like. š©āššāļø
I love teaching as it is great to meet people, and get to know my students and their cultures. Also, it's amazing to see the students improve their Japanese language abilities and be able to communicate in Japanese. I have taught from complete beginner to beyond JLPT N1 level.
A little bit about myself: I like playing video games & board games & card games, watching movies & anime, eating, and traveling. Also, I love my two Japanese Spitz. š¶šš¶
NOTE:
If you're interested in working with me, please book a 30-minute trial lesson first. Also, I would love to hear about your language goals (or anything else you ...

Japanese is NOT just about words and grammarāitās about PERSPECTIVE, CULTURE, and the STORIES behind it all.
Too often, language is taught like a formula, disconnected from its DEEPER meaning. Thatās why it feels confusing, why the rules donāt stick, and why it stops being fun. Does this sound familiar?
ā Not knowing where to start
ā” Particles!
⢠Conjugations
⣠ć¦-form
Without cultural and historical context, particles feel random, formalities rigid, and expressions meaningless.
In my lessons, Iāll help you see why Japanese works the way it does. Once you understand the āWHY,ā everything clicks. Itās not just a languageāitās a way to think, connect, and experience life.
Teaching Japanese is not my work, it is my PASSION. It always makes me very happy when I meet people who are interested in my language.
I tailor my lessons to suit you! I prepare each class according to your language needs as well as your interests and personality.
Me as a Teacher:

Hello. I am from Yokohama. I am a qualified and native Japanese teacher. I am interested in languages and I studied linguistics at my university in London. I had been working as a speech therapist for 10 years in Japan.
I like to meet new people and teach Japanese. In my free time, I like to go to a cafe or park with friends. Also, I like travelling abroad.
<My teaching experience>
I have a postgraduate certificate to teach Japanese to non-native speakers. I have been working as a private teacher for ten years in London and Auckland. I have given lessons to various levels' learners , completely begginers to advanced, and students with special educational needs. Also, I often give lessons to students who plan to take JLPT.
I usually give one to one lessons but I also have experience to teach group-lessons.
<My aproach to lesson>
At first, I ask students how they would like to learn Japanese and what their aim to learn Japanese is. Then, I suggest how we could have lessons. We can ...

I have got more than 3,000 hrs of online private teaching experience so far. I purely enjoy every single lesson and love talking with each and every student. They are all keen to learn and make me realise lots of new things. I am a teacher but at the same time, I learn lots from my students too. I love having one on one lessons since I can see the students' progress well and improve each student's weakness.
šøI have travelled to 30 different countries. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I have been living away from Japan for many years now but I read and watch Japanese news and programs a lot daily so my Japanese is up to date (Our language is always updated with new vocabulary and expressions, it's quite...

I was born in Japan and studied in Canada and USA.
When I was studying music in LA, I learned Brazilian music and a couple of years later I went to Brazil and met my husband.
I didn't know how to speak Portuguese at that time, I only knew how to sing in Portuguese, but from the very first day of Brazil I learned how to have fun and communicate with people without knowing much of the theory and vocabulary. It was just like how people learn jazz. There's a theory behind, but the most importantly we should feel and improvise. And to understand the theory, you first should listen, listen and listen.
So my learning and teaching method can be a little unique. It's not like the traditional way that we all know, which you read, write, and listen to the explanations, instead, I want you to feel it.
It's important to study and understand the grammar and try to memorize as much vocabularies as you can, but you can't forget to have fun, and you can't memorize things by just reading and thinkin...
