About Me
Hello everybody! Bonjour tout le monde!! My name is Mariem. I am a certified and experienced teacher who speaks French and Arabic as my native languages. Since 2016, I have been instructing in both languages.
I have spent many years living overseas, so I am aware of the difficulties my students may encounter when attempting to communicate with locals or fit into a new culture.
I love teaching languages as much as I love learning them. I studied Italian in university, and I have a bachelor's degree in Italian language, literature, and civilization. I also speak Serbian, and at the moment I am learning Persian.
I can help you improve, whether you're an absolute beginner or an advanced French or Arabic speaker.
In my classes, the primary goal is to help the student increase their overall time spent listening, speaking, reading, and writing, regardless of what their current level of proficiency may be. So the teaching package depends on each student’s goal, need, and knowledge of the language. The priority can be different according to the student's needs.
I believe that being a native speaker isn't enough to teach your language; you need to be a teacher and trained for what you are teaching.
My biggest satisfaction is seeing my students start speaking and making progress. Then I feel like I have accomplished my job.
