About Me
As a native speaker from Taiwan—the only place where traditional Chinese characters are still preserved—I help learners connect language with culture. Through stories of Chinese and Taiwanese traditions and the etymology of Chinese characters, you’ll not only remember words more easily but also experience the deep cultural and philosophical roots of Chinese civilization.
With a background in Asian Studies, I’ve explored spiritual and cultural traditions from Hinduism and Buddhism to Christianity. This experience helps me make language learning a journey of understanding people and their worldviews. My interdisciplinary research in psychology, anthropology, art history, and comparative religion deepens my teaching, allowing me to bring more cultural insight into each lesson.
Having lived, studied, and worked in Asia, Europe, and the U.S., I believe learning Chinese is more than mastering grammar—it’s discovering a living culture shaped by thousands of years of wisdom. In my Mandarin classes, you’ll not only learn a new language but also explore different perspectives on life and thought.
Features of My Teaching
Personalized learning plan — tailored to your goals, whether for business, travel, or academic study.
Scientific and effective methods — trained at the Mandarin Training Center of National Taiwan Normal University, one of Taiwan’s most prestigious institutions for Chinese language teaching.
International teaching experience — in a language center in South India and through private tutoring.
Standard Mandarin pronunciation — helping you build a clear and accurate accent.
Patience and clarity — with detailed explanations and step-by-step guidance.
For Pinyin and Tone Learners (Beginners)
No textbook is needed. I use visual diagrams to explain how initials and finals work, highlighting their similarities and differences. Imitation and consistent practice are the keys to success.

- Follow-up tasks and personalized progress tracking.
- Patient, detailed correction of pronunciation and grammar.
- Deep exposure to Chinese language, culture, and stories—so you don’t just learn Chinese, you live it.
