Hi! My name is Zoia. I am from Syria and I am studying International Relations at the University of British Columbia. One of the reasons why I am pursuing this major is that I am fascinated by different cultures and their interactions. There is a strong and complex connection between the language and the culture it is used in which led me to develop a passion for languages since I was young, hence I learned English, Spanish and Russian. While I was learning these languages, I came across many difficulties one might face learning a new language, and therefore, I have developed many strategies to overcome those difficulties. My native language is Arabic, and I have taught it to international students when I was studying in Armenia! I teach mainly Levantine dialect. I understand that people decide to learn new languages for different reasons, therefore, I make sure to acknowledge the goals my students strive for and I customize my lessons in order to achieve those goals.

I am Nesreen Meligy, I am thirty years old. Graduated from the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, Cairo University. I have passed many training courses in different fields, I got a general and special diploma in preparing Arabic teacher for non-native speakers, and now in master's degree. I have been teaching Arabic to non-native speakers since 2013. I teach students from all over the world to adults and children, and use many books in teaching such as (Al asasi book, Arabeye bayna yadayk, Attakalum book, Al Fanar book and more) . I have trained a group of teachers in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and I am now involved in the preparation of educational curricula.
