Hello, my name is Dianela, I've been teaching Spanish and English for more than 20 years. I studied Education at the University of Zulia in Venezuela. When I graduated from the university I spent some time travelling around UK, France and Spain. I stayed in Madrid, Spain and I've been living here for 16 years, so I can teach Latin American Spanish and Spanish from Spain, which are very different. I work as an Administrative Assistant in a multinational Company, but I love teaching and I don't want to be away from this activity even if I dedicate an important part of my life working as an admin. I am a mother of 2, my boys are the most important thing in the world for me. I will be very happy to help you reach your goals. I'm a very dynamic teacher, I love teaching through games, songs, interesting readings and of course conversation, my idea is to adapt your preferences to my classes program. ¡¡¡Hola a todos!!! Me llamo Mayte, tengo 39 años y vivo en Gijón (Asturias), aunque soy de Salamanca (Castilla y León). Me licencié en Comunicación por la Universidad de Salamanca, realizando además Lengua Española y obteniendo como calificación Matrícula de Honor. He impartido clases de forma particular, voluntaria, y en el Centro de Acción Social de San José en Salamanca, no solo de español sino también en otras asignaturas. Los niveles de alumnos extranjeros eran desde 7 u 8 hasta 10 o 15 personas. En mi estancia fuera de España, pude realizar intercambio de lenguas, en este caso, español e inglés. Sigo realizando intercambios de lenguas, y dando clases particulares a alumnos extranjeros. Además de la enseñanza de español, también me dedico a la informática, al área de programación. Estoy aquí para enseñarte el español que hablamos en las Islas Canarias. Es un dialecto con palabras y expresiones propias e incluso comportamientos que no encontrarás en ningún libro. Solo lo puedes aprender en las casas, en las calles, en los bares y tiendas.... Enseño a niveles intermedios o avanzado y NO doy clase al típico turista que solo tienen interés en el sol y la playa de Canarias. Mis estudiantes quieren conectar y conocer las auténticas islas. I discover I wanted to be a full time teacher when I moved to Poland and started teaching sporadically. After I came back to Spain I took a course on teaching skills and started to teach independently. And I loved it! The more I taught the more I liked. I still love teaching cause I understand my culture better and the way Spanish people think. I find that fascinating. To me, explaining why we would say things in a certain way because of our culture is the best bit. Be sure you will always have contact with the real culture during our lessons.
