Hello, English-learners!
My name is Deanna and I am an American accent and business English coach certified in both ESL and PESL (Pronouncing English as a second language). After spending years working with hundreds of students as an ESL instructor in Asia, both in-person and online, I noticed that nearly all had not been provided adequate American accent training before coming to me, no matter their skill levels or professional ambitions. Tired of seeing these dedicated English language learners struggle to properly express themselves, I decided to move away from traditional ESL curriculum to focus solely on accent reduction. Ever since, I’ve offered a holistic approach to American pronunciation training, one that features detailed focus on sound modification within a highly-personalized program that is crafted to each client’s specific industry, timeline, and location.
My students hail from all over the world-- China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, and Switzerland. Along with teaching business and general English, I have also worked as a TOEFL and IELTS prep teacher for all English subjects. I am also passionate about providing career training for expats working in the States, including interview skills, presentation prep, and document-writing coaching.
At this time, I am available to take on students of all ages, including high school and university students. I custom tailor the lessons to fit each person's goals and needs. Please let me know if you have any questions for me.
