I offer structured classes that focus on finding and fixing any pronunciation or grammar mistakes while at the same encouraging my students to talk as much as possible. I also specialise in interview preparation and public speaking skills if you need additional help with that. The lessons themselves are normally very relaxed but also quite structured. I usually give interesting articles for homework and about half of the class is spent talking about the articles. For the rest of the class I do exercises to improve grammar mistakes or other mistakes that I find during the class and I also review new vocabulary and mistakes from the previous lessons. I have enjoyed meeting so many interesting people through 3,500 hours of teaching on Verbling. For 20 years before joining Verbling, I was involved with international students at high school and university levels. My work gave me a lot of experience in communicating with students and families whose first language was not English. My lessons will always be based on the student's present level and interest. I like to use written examples to help students develop skills in speaking and listening.
