English Improv Conversations!
Real-world English conversations require improvisation. In this class, we will use humor and acting to practice conversational adaptation. The students are divided into pairs and are given role-playing scenario assignments (such as a salesman trying to convince a reluctant customer, a hotel customer trying to report problems with a room, or a doctor calming a hypochondriac––someone who always thinks they are sick). After each pair acts out their conversation, we will go over tips and corrections. Every time I have this class, we will use new scenarios. I look forward to seeing you in class :)!
