English Practice

Now that some countries are starting to open up a bit more, I think a good exercise you can practice to increase your English skills is by observing what is going on around you. Take a walk in a park, or down the street, etc. (keeping 6 feet away from others, of course), and write about what you see, hear, smell, or feel. I would not recommend touching surfaces at the moment. Keep a journal of these things; maybe try putting your observations into sentences. Start with writing a sentence using the Subject-verb-object structure. Focus on spelling words correctly by sounding them out. Try to use as many adjectives as you can think of to describe the scenes before you. Think of this as a descriptive letter to a friend in another city that wants to know what is happening, or even better, a letter to your future self. What would you say and how would you say it?

If nothing else, you will have good documentation of events that hopefully will not happen again in our lifetimes. But I suspect, you will have also increased your writing skills!

Good luck and stay healthy!
