German Word of the Day (1) - das Hüftgold - What´s widespread in your language?
5 years agoToday it is: "Hüftgold". From "Hüfte" (hip) and "Gold" (gold). It means the extra fat around your hips, not really a positive word.
Especially after Christmas people talk about their "Hüftgold" and then about their new .....diet.
