How long have you been learning Spanish?

Everyone has their own speed and there are many factors that can affect it: your interest, learning difficulties, time restrictions, your resources, consistency, etc.
The fact that you speak English means that learning Spanish will probably take you less time than someone who only speaks a non-latin language.

The US Foreign Service Institute (FSI) has done some research that you might find interesting. https://www.state.gov/m/fsi/sls/c78549.htm According to them, to get to a "professional working proficiency" in Spanish as an english speaker it may take you around 24 weeks or 600 hours.
