What´s a nitpicker in German?
5 years agoA nitpicker or bean counter is "Der Erbsenzähler" . We use this for pedantic men or women, for human beings who are penny-pinching and prove everything slowly but surely. "Ein Erbsenzähler" is a bureaucrat, he is dithering, afraid to decide and mostly in a bad mood. All of us (Germans) know some of them but -please - not all Germans are "Erbsenzähler". What´ s your opinion?
