And when YOU talk, people don't quite get what you mean. That's what I fix. We'll work on real situations — your job, your projects, conversations you actually need to have. I speak naturally (not slowly or simplified) because that's what you need to understand. When you're confused by something I say, we pause and I'll show you exactly what I mean by using other ways to explain it so you do understand. I have enjoyed meeting so many interesting people through 3,500 hours of teaching on Verbling. For 20 years before joining Verbling, I was involved with international students at high school and university levels. My work gave me a lot of experience in communicating with students and families whose first language was not English. My lessons will always be based on the student's present level and interest.
