I graduated from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, however, later on, I found my true calling in teaching English.
For the past ten years, I have been working as the Director of Education & Cultural Development for the Colorado Rockies. The position entails the implementation and coordination of the educational needs for all of the Latin players signed within the organization. It is my job to create an education curriculum to address the needs of the players and help them obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma as well as help them work on language acquisition of English for practical purposes. The primary responsibilities include the recruitment and training of teachers, professors, psychologists, and educational facilitators from diverse areas as well as implementing and overseeing the high school/GED program for the academy. The duties also include mentoring the players, especially those with learning disabilities, and helping them develop ...

Hi there! I'm Joss and I'm from the UK.
I offer structured classes that focus on finding and fixing any pronunciation or grammar mistakes while at the same encouraging my students to talk as much as possible.
I also specialise in interview preparation and public speaking skills if you need additional help with that.
The lessons themselves are normally very relaxed but also quite structured.
I usually give interesting articles for homework and about half of the class is spent talking about the articles.
For the rest of the class I do exercises to improve grammar mistakes or other mistakes that I find during the class and I also review new vocabulary and mistakes from the previous lessons.
About me; I have a passion for travel and meeting new people. I studied international business at university and also worked in a number of start-ups.
I've also worked as an English teacher for over 8 years. I have experience teaching business English to middle to top management teams ...

I am an English-Spanish translator and teacher currently living in Spain. I first started teaching at NIU, Illinois, USA, as a Teaching Assistant, and once I graduated from my Master's degree I started to work as a Court interpreter and translator. After a few years I came to Spain, where I am teaching English and Spanish, while I still work as a translator (specialized in Psychology). Being a translator helps me better understand the process of learning a foreign language as an adult, and develop my teaching and language coaching techniques. Let me show you how - let's build your English (or Spanish) skills together and improve what you already have. You will enjoy learning with me!

I have loved tutoring in all subjects up to the college level. My favorite subject to teach has always been English. I enjoy helping with writing, developing conversational skills, and improving reading. I have worked with a number of ESL students from various countries including Japan, Korea, Brazil, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. It has been a joy to conduct these lessons with my students, and I look forward to all the future ones to come!
Now about my teaching style. :)
If I had to use one word to describe my teaching style it would be ENCOURAGING. I love to give praise and always focus on growth. I also love to promote taking positive risks and trying new things, even though they may seem scary at first.

Hi, my name is Art, and I am a certified ESL tutor, and as of January 6, I am ranked #5 most popular tutor of English on Verbling out of 492, according to the Verbling website. That ranking is earned after teaching 1,088 students and 9194 classes here since May of 2015. Don't take my word for it; look it up. That ranking is based on honest student reviews, more than 4000 of them. You can't read over 4000 reviews, but reading a few, and knowing they add up to a #4 ranking out of hundreds, and a 5 star rating should tell you something. Listen to them... not me.--- Anyway, I started teaching ESL 40 years ago in Salamanca Spain, then continued part-time while also teaching Spanish as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where I received an M.A. in Hispanic Literature in 1988. I left another career about 14 years ago when my Venezuelan wife and I moved back to her home country, and there I also happily returned to my first career of teaching ESL. I began teaching a course ...
