Hello Friend!
I hope you're having a great day!
My name is Brent and I am from Santa Rosa, California. My hometown is in the California wine country, a beautiful place with outstanding weather.
I have lived in Japan for thirteen years. I lived in Osaka for one year and then moved to Tokyo. I came to Japan because I am a poet and I love haiku. Japan is a wonderful country that has changed me in many positive ways. And the sushi...wow.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Poetry with a Minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.
My interests include haiku, hiking, comedy, studying Japanese, reading, food, traveling, baseball, and music. I am a very curious person and I enjoy learning about others' hobbies and interests.
As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges involved with learning languages, which helps me address student concerns and needs ...

APRIL 1 2026 VERBLING PROFILE
Hey there, I am guessing you stopped by to read my profile because you want to finally, for the first time in many years, get fluent in English. Yeah, I get it, I know what you mean. I have been a language coach now for almost 20 years.
I am not talking about 20 years dabbling in coaching languages. I mean actually in the trenches, doing the work, studying methodologies, learning psycholinguistics, pushing myself harder to learn neuroscience of learning, performance neuroscience, decision neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, all for one goal, to make my clients better in learning languages, and in every area of their lives.

Hi there! I'm Joss and I'm from the UK.
I offer structured classes that focus on finding and fixing any pronunciation or grammar mistakes while at the same encouraging my students to talk as much as possible.
I also specialise in interview preparation and public speaking skills if you need additional help with that.
The lessons themselves are normally very relaxed but also quite structured.
I usually give interesting articles for homework and about half of the class is spent talking about the articles.
For the rest of the class I do exercises to improve grammar mistakes or other mistakes that I find during the class and I also review new vocabulary and mistakes from the previous lessons.
About me; I have a passion for travel and meeting new people. I studied international business at university and also worked in a number of start-ups.
I've also worked as an English teacher for over 8 years. I have experience teaching business English to middle to top management teams ...
