Hello!! My name is Brittany Briggs I was born and raised in the USA. Currently I live in Michigan which is very north of USA but extremely close to Canada. English is my first language and I'm learning Spanish on a daily basis. I have been teaching English as a second language for eight years. After college where I majored in English and graduated with a bachelors of English and a minor in Communications, My teaching experience began at a local shelter where I found many families from different countries who needed help learning the English language. I helped over 100 families become fluent in the English language and I can help you too. I have also helped students communicate better with their peers as they learn English as a second language.
My specialty area is Business English because I know how important it is for people to be able to communicate in the business world using their newly learned English. Over the years my students have asked me to focus on topics such as Job...

I have 30+ years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught all levels; from basic to advanced grammar and conversation, as well as business English and pronunciation. I especially enjoy helping you with the more difficult aspects of English grammar so that you can improve your ability to speak and write more precisely. I have a particular passion for teaching pronunciation.
I always design my lessons specifically for you, based on your skill level and your goals. I believe that language learning is a lifelong process of discovery. As you learn the language, you learn the culture, and vice versa. My role as your teacher is to provide the rules and patterns of English, give you many opportunities to practice what you are learning, provide correction and suggestions for improvement, and continuous feedback on your progress.
I have taught overseas in the Peace Corps in South Korea and in the United States at language schools, the World Bank, the Inte...

Hello everyone! I am a CELTA certified ESL teacher. I've taught for more than 8 years at university level both in Colombia as well as the U.S. I believe that having a patient and welcoming disposition is a key component in students' learning. I'm friendly, cheerful, and like to laugh a lot and have fun with my students. I strive to provide a communicative approach in my classes, so that means lots of conversation! We will obviously focus on the other language skills like reading, writing and listening when needed. I will explain the meaning of words, improve your pronunciation, and make sure you understand the grammar involved. In my class we can discuss any topic of your choice. I like to make my students feel comfortable and confident, while at the same time challenging them to learn new things. I hope to see you soon!

Hello Friend!
I hope you're having a great day!
My name is Brent and I am from Santa Rosa, California. My hometown is in the California wine country, a beautiful place with outstanding weather.
I have lived in Japan for thirteen years. I lived in Osaka for one year and then moved to Tokyo. I came to Japan because I am a poet and I love haiku. Japan is a wonderful country that has changed me in many positive ways. And the sushi...wow.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Poetry with a Minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.
My interests include haiku, hiking, comedy, studying Japanese, reading, food, traveling, baseball, and music. I am a very curious person and I enjoy learning about others' hobbies and interests.
As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges involved with learning languages, which helps me address student concerns and needs ...

Hello Verbling Community!
I will be available after April 19, 2026
**If you do not see a time that suits you, please send me a message to arrange a time slot.**
My name is Yvonne, and I am a professional English teacher- I am a native speaker originally from Michigan but have lived in the tiny European country of Luxembourg for the past 33 years. After a 28-year career in the financial sector, I decided to return to school to become a certified ESL teacher. For the past 11 years, I have been teaching English full-time. I teach for the market-leading private language schools, as well as for the National school system. I teach one-on-one as well as in groups. Teaching is my vocation, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. My teaching style is student-centered. After evaluating the student's current level, we plan the target language goals together and work together towards realizing these language goals. As the lessons progress, I reinforce grammar where needed, but in a ple...

Hello,
ON HOLIDAY AUG 5-26 2026!!!
I am from London and have been teaching OET for over 5 years. I am CELTA qualified. Also, I have a degree in American Studies (history based) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Nursing from Kings College London. I was a nurse in London for the NHS and for a private hospital.
My focus is OET/Healthcare job interviews/PLAB 2 and I only teach in these areas now, hence my prices. I have stopped offering free trials, as recently students are missing their trials or not reading my profile beforehand to see I do not teach general English only OET and medical English. Feel free to ask questions though :)
I have my digital online learning badge for having completed the first 3 OET modules to be a preliminary provider. I am listed on the official OET teachers page. I have also completed some of the steps required for having Premium status under a premium provider I worked for, such as creating role- plays and case notes for them. I have been teach...
