About Me
I have 30+ years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. I have taught all levels; from basic to advanced grammar and conversation, as well as business English, pronunciation, and test prep. I have taught overseas in the Peace Corps in South Korea and in the United States at language schools, the World Bank, the Interamerican Development Bank, continuing education programs at a community college and federally-funded refugee programs. I especially enjoy helping you with the more difficult aspects of English grammar so that you can improve your ability to speak and write more precisely. I have a particular passion for teaching pronunciation. I always design my lessons specifically for you, based on your skill level and your goals. I believe that language learning is a lifelong process of discovery. As you learn the language, you learn the culture, and vice versa. My role as a teacher is to provide the 'rules' and guidelines, give you many opportunities to practice what you are learning, provide correction and suggestions for improvement, and continuous feedback on your progress.
