 I’m Ruby, a Cambridge CELTA qualified English tutor with 11 years of  teaching experience, a bachelor in philology. I've also done some mentoring for new teachers, and I completed Cambridge English examiner course for FCE and YLE. I specialize in teaching General English, having conducted over 3000 lessons online. I also taught in different language schools in Yerevan, Armenia. I believe that student-centered approach is very effective for studying a language.  I aim to make my lessons productive, engaging, and fun. I’m Kevin Palmer. in 2002, at my first teaching job, I had a student named Ning. Ning was wonderful. She was intelligent, friendly, and she worked hard. Every day she studied English textbooks for 4 hours! She tried to remember 50 new vocabulary words every day! But, after 6 months of hard work, she still could not speak. Sadly, this was true for all of the students in the class. I felt terrible. So I asked other teachers for help. But they had the same problem.. very few of their students improved either. That’s when I realized something was wrong– something is wrong with normal English teaching methods.
