Hi! I'm Ana, from Buenos Aires, Argentina and I'm currently living in Madrid. I love travelling and meeting new people. I speak Spanish and English fluently, I'm currently learning Italian, and have some basic knowledge of German, French and Portuguese. Being a language student myself, I believe that traditional language classes, besides grammar, usually teach you some basic conversation for very specific situations. Beyond studies and experience (which you can read below), what makes a good language teacher? I have no doubts: enthusiasm, empathy, patience and sense of humor. Without these four attributes, any robot could be a better teacher than me, am I right? I studied a master's degree at University of Barcelona in 2013 and another course at International House in 2014 to specialize as a teacher of Spanish as a second language. My passion for teaching hasn't done anything else but increasing. I love helping people all over the world to learn the language and to understand my culture. I am a Spanish retired who wants to teach my mother tongue to others and meet new people. I would love to share my knowledge of Spanish with whoever wants to learn it. I was born in Spain but lived many years in Venezuela. I live now in Nigrán, north west of Spain. I am always eager to have good conversations in Spanish depending on the level of the student. I can adapt my lessons to the student requirements for them to either be more informal or grammar focused.
