Bonjour tout le monde !
My name is Arthur, a native Parisian and a professional teacher of French Language, French Literature, and Political Science, Geopolitics & Economics in French. Educated in Modern Literature, French Literature, and FLE Didactics at Paris-Sorbonne, I also hold two Master's degrees from SOAS University of London and pursued doctoral research in Political Science, International Relations, Geopolitics, and Political Economy at INALCO / IRIS in Paris. Alongside over ten years of teaching experience (including as an official DELF/DALF examiner at the Institut Français), I work as a freelance analyst and journalist contributing to magazines and newspapers. Since 2015, I have taught in Paris, London, Tokyo, and Granada, driven by my fascination with the language's beauty, poetry, nuances, and subtlety. My goal is to share this passion, helping you uncover the treasures of French.
Whether you're learning French for university studies, competitive exams, work, personal projects, or as a hobby, I'm eager to assist you, regardless of your proficiency level.
I liken language learning to forest planting. First, you select the seeds carefully, then plant them thoughtfully - not just anywhere or anytime. The gardener's role is to choose the right seeds, timing, and location. Each seed represents a new piece of knowledge or skill, needing nurture in its early stages. Like a young shoot, it strengthens, expands, intermingles with other knowledge, and becomes vital in your language ecosystem.
As time passes, your language forest grows, becoming autonomous and vibrant.
My teaching method is effective, creative, enjoyable, and dynamic. I tailor lessons to each student, integrating their passions, professions, or academic studies into the curriculum. Learning a language should be enjoyable, so my classes are fun and relaxed, without pressure, judgment, or haste.
In my courses, we can focus on three main tracks according to your goals:
* French Language & Conversation (A1-C2): authentic spoken French, Parisian phonetics and pronunciation, grammar, and official DELF / DALF exam preparation.
* French Literature: literary history from classical theatre to the 20th century, stylistic analysis, and the methodology of the French commentaire composé and dissertation for high school and university students.
* Political Science, Geopolitics, International Relations & Economics in French: thematic courses on world affairs, university exam and admissions preparation (Sciences Po, Sorbonne, dual degrees), diplomatic, economic, and media French, plus diligent correction of your academic or professional writings.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
