I hold a bachelor's degree in English Language Education and German Language and Literature from Korea University, South Korea, and a master's degree in TESOL from the University of Melbourne. My name is June, and I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with four years of Chinese teaching experience. My classes are conducted primarily in Mandarin — I speak Mandarin, and so do my students. This applies to beginner lessons as well, as immersion helps you start thinking in the language naturally, without relying on translation. I was born and raised in Taiwan, so I speak with a standard Taiwan Mandarin accent, what's considered a Southern accent, which means you won't hear the "er" suffix common in Northern dialects. I teach Traditional Chinese characters, though typing-focused lessons can also accommodate Simplified Chinese.
