My name is June. I am a Chinese native speaker from Taiwan and I have been teaching Chinese for 4 years.
In the class, the main language will be Mandarin, which I will speak mostly Mandarin and the students will do the same. The beginner lesson will be arranged like this as well. This will help you start understanding a language without doing the translation process.
For my background, I was born and raised in Taiwan. I speak Mandarin with the standard Taiwan Mandarin accent. It is considered to be the Southern accent, which we don’t have “er” suffix for many words. I teach Traditional Chinese writing. The lesson with only typing words can be in Simplified, too.
