I'm a passionate and dedicated lover of English, people and our planet. I believe that learning should be student-centric so I will make any lesson that you book with me focus on your specific needs and interests.
My methodology is based on the Principled Communicative Approach, and I believe that connection is one of the key components to developing one's language skills.
I cover exam preparation, relocation language and Business English, however, I also teach conversational classes, academic writing and address literature and thematic writing.
I previously worked as a high school teacher, in a multilingual context, teaching English as Home Language, and then as a Second Language to teenage students. I understand how development affects learning retention and how to best adapt to a variety of ages. I was a school teacher for eight years, and some of my former students are now published authors and teachers in their own right. I have worked online since 2019 and have helped people in a wide variety of professions, countries and backgrounds to develop their skills and achieve their goals. Up till now, my youngest student has been seven and my oldest student sixty-three!
I am always interested in meeting new people and learning new things! I love the challenge of finding what works best for every student. I hope to meet you soon!

Tardiness Policy:
Please note that if you are late for a session, and have not informed me prior to the time, I will remain in session for 1/3 of the total session time [10 minutes for a 30-minute demo lesson; 20 minutes for an hour-long lesson] after which I will terminate the lesson.
Should you miss an hour-long session, without notice, I will not issue a refund. However, if you cancel or inform me within six hours of the session, I will issue a 50% refund.

In a trial lesson, we will meet one another, and I will ask some questions about your goals, interests and background. I focus on relationship building as a primary goal, and I think it's important that you know who you're working with as well.
