About Me
Hello, I'm Anthea.
If you're preparing for the Occupational English Test (OET), you've come to the right place.
I work exclusively with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals preparing for the OET.
Over the past seven years, I've taught more than 3,700 lessons to students from around the world, helping them build the English skills and confidence they need to succeed in both the exam and their healthcare careers.
Before becoming an English teacher, I worked as a Registered Nurse in Australia for more than 28 years in:
• Emergency Nursing
• Mental Health
• Drug & Alcohol Services
• Justice Health
• General Practice
• Health Management
Because I've worked in healthcare myself, I understand the language, the workplace, and the communication expected from healthcare professionals. We don't just study English—we practice the language you'll actually use with patients, colleagues and examiners.

I believe students learn best when they feel relaxed and supported.
My lessons are practical, interactive and encouraging. I'll challenge you where needed, but you'll always know exactly what to work on next.
Trial Lesson
In our first lesson, we'll:
• discuss your goals
• identify your strengths and weaknesses
• create a personalised study plan
• begin working on the skills that will improve your score.
Writing Feedback
My Verbling lessons focus primarily on speaking, communication skills and exam preparation.
If you're looking for detailed OET writing correction packages with comprehensive written feedback and revision support, these are available separately through my website. If you are a current Verbling speaking student, you will receive a 15% discount on these packages.
