About Me
A teacher with a plan!
Hello, I'm Amanda! I'm from America. I have experience teaching English to all ages and levels across 5 continents. I can help you with any English skill, but I specialize in listening and speaking.
I use structured conversation to help you practice real world English. In every lesson you will review and learn vocabulary and grammar, and practice using English in real world conversation.
How it works:
Every lesson (except the first) begins with a review of previously learned material. We review material until we're both confident that you have learned and understand it.
We'll then work on new vocabulary and/or grammar. I will teach you a small block of words, or a new grammar point, then we will spend time practicing. The practice may be question-answer (in which I ask you the question and you give me a full answer), answer-question (in which I give you the answer and you must give me the appropriate question), or photo description.
The speaking focus is on fluency, accuracy, pronunciation, and accent reduction.
The listening focus is on comprehension of what I say/ask. I won't slow down or simplify my language (unless of course you need me to!)
I have hundreds of hours of material covering every imaginable topic, so the more you study with me, the more you'll see yourself improve. This is not an easy program, but I think it's the best. So for students who are serious about being able to speak English naturally, book a lesson today!
