About Me
🌟Speak English with fluency & confidence🌟
Warm, human-to-human interaction allows you to make deep connections and can open the door to rich opportunities in work and friendship.
Speaking comfortably and naturally in English comes from having real, spontaneous conversations with real people.
I love having great conversations. In our sessions, we might talk about your work and your hobbies, compare our thoughts about events happening in the world, tell travel stories, or swap our life philosophies.
The topics we discuss are up to you. My role is to let you know the phrases a native English speaker would use, to explain new words and expressions, to offer feedback on pronunciation, suggest new vocabulary, and to keep encouraging you to go further while enjoying the learning process.
I mainly work with B1-C1 (intermediate to advanced) English speakers who have a good foundation in the language but want to sound natural and feel comfortable when talking with real people.
Our lessons are tailored to your specific needs, so let’s discuss the details in a trial lesson.
I look forward to speaking with you!
🌟 About Me 🌟
I’m a US native, living in France. I have full TESOL certification, NeuroLanguage training, coaching certification through Coach Training Alliance, and I’ve been working with students since 2017.
Most importantly, I love to see people thrive.
I also enjoy taking long walks, doing yoga, reading for relaxation, and I love animals of all kinds.
I also love to connect with people from all over the world. I hope to talk with you soon!

Résumé
Education
2016 - 2017
120-hour TESOL Certification
School of TESL/Seattle Pacific University - Seattle, WA
This was a tough course that included onsite and online classes. I also did nearly 20 hours of teaching practice in an adult ESL community college course -- this gave me huge respect and admiration for non-English speakers who are learning the language.
1980 - 1984
BA in English
University of Virginia - Charlottesville, VA
UVa's English Department was ranked #2 in the US while I was there. I received a great education with some of the best teachers in the country. They gave me a love of language and learning that I try to pass along to my students.
Work Experience
2019
ESL Coach for Business Professionals
My teaching career began with learners of all ages. I now specialize in focused coaching for motivated businesspeople, to improve their career and life opportunities through advanced communication skills.
2018 - 2019
English as a Foreign Language
PLUS English Center - Tam Ky, Vietnam
This English language school offered classes for students ranging from pre-school aged children to adults, with language skills from very-beginning to intermediate levels. The adult classes included Business English, Communication Skills, and Pronunciation. This was a paid position as a part-time teacher.
2018 - 2018
English as a Foreign Language, Primary and Secondary School
Fermo School District - Fermo, Italy
Most students here already had good basic language skills so I designed lessons to help them reach the next level of ability. I worked at the school as a volunteer teacher.
2018 - 2018
English as a Foreign Language, Secondary School
Shree Machupuchre Secondary School - Pokhara, Nepal
At this school, my focus was on giving the students practical language skills and strategies for speaking and reading English more fluently and confidently. It was a volunteer teaching position.
2018 - 2018
English as a Foreign Language, Volunteer Teacher
Mother Sister Nepal Orphanage Home - Langtang District, Nepal
The students here ranged from 3 years old to 14 years old. The children had beginning-level language skills so I focused on the basic skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
2017 - 2017
Adult ESL
Olympic College - Poulsbo, WA
In Spring of 2017, I taught in an ESL classroom at a community college as part of my TESOL certification. The students were adult learners with a wide range of cultural backgrounds and beginning-to-intermediate language skills.
