About Me
I’m Ruby, a Cambridge CELTA qualified English tutor with 11 years of teaching experience, a bachelor in philology. I've also done some mentoring for new teachers, and I completed Cambridge English examiner course for FCE and YLE.
I specialize in teaching General English, having conducted over 3000 lessons online. I also taught in different language schools in Yerevan, Armenia.
I believe that student-centered approach is very effective for studying a language. I aim to make my lessons productive, engaging, and fun. In my lessons, I make sure that errors are corrected and the newly learned vocabulary and grammar are used.
In my free time I like watching comedies, (I particularly appreciate British humor), learning about philosophy and psychology, spirituality, trolling people (but never or rarely my students), painting, singing, playing the guitar and trying to make sense of this bittersweet life.
