About Me

Hi, Shalom, Bonjour, Ciao, Hola,

My name is Wendy and I want to be your teacher. I am interested in talking to you about your culture and heritage, your home and life. If you like, I will tell you about mine!

I speak 4 languages! I earned my Bachelor of Education from McGill University and completed a TESOL Diploma. I have taught students of all ages, in the classroom and online for nearly a decade. I enjoy conversations about culture, history, religion, music, and art. I dream of travelling to Europe, South America, and Africa. If you would like to practice your English by discussing your birth country or travel experiences, then don’t hesitate – book a lesson with me!

Learning a new language is not merely about vocabulary and grammar. Moreover, it is about learning about a way of life that is different than your own. It is about expanding your horizons, escaping into a different world. Most importantly, it is about gaining a greater understanding of the human experience. I can’t wait to learn about your hobbies and interests. We may just become great friends!

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and writing, learning languages on Duolingo, creating animated videos, painting, cooking, and spending time with my pets.
