About Me
I am an English teacher with 12 years of experience teaching English and reading in elementary schools, language instutes, and now online. I have a BA in Spanish and International Studies and a TESOL certification from Arizona State University. I am from the east coast of the US, but have been living in central Mexico for 12 years. I have a 6-year-old daughter who you will likely meet at some point during our lessons! I love doing yoga (I teach, too!), playing games (Rummikub, Exploding Kittens, puzzles, Sudoku- you name it), reading (right now I'm reading Uncommon Type- by Tom Hanks!), and eating anything yummy (Mexican food is AMAZING!!).
Besides teaching all of the usual English stuff (grammar, conversation, reading skills), I REALLY like to help students with AMERICAN PRONUNCIATION (I am trained in the International Phonetic Alphabet) and JOB INTERVIEWS.
