Hello! My name is Jeremy and I'm from the United States. I have been a teacher of English as a second language for over five years, and I love it! I have two TEFL certifications and two TESOL certifications. I also have a BA in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Boston and an MA in Intellectual History from the University of London. I am a writer, cultural critic and arts journalist. I am a contributor to the Boston-based magazine The Arts Fuse. My essays, stories and poetry have been published in a wide variety of places and different languages. I'm excited to teach you about the English language and its history and cultures!
My favorite thing about teaching English to speakers of other languages is the opportunity which it provides to meet new people and to hold cultural exchanges with people from a wide variety of backgrounds! I think that learning a language should be fun and natural, and that practice should always be supplemented with contextualizing conversations about etymology, grammar, culture, history, and more.
